Dear Pete,

Ann forwarded your email regarding the oil bill.  We cannot thank you enough.  The gesture from the Marine Corp League is amazingly generous and heartwarming.  Such help will make it easier to travel the path with Tim in his rehabilitation process.  Tim and his fellow marines and soldiers continue to overwhelm us with their uncomplaining efforts to overcome often terrible injuries. Yesterday Tim heard that another of his men was killed in action 2 days ago.  Today we heard from Matt...things sound rough there and terribly cold . We are hoping Tim will be able to get home for 2 days over Christmas so long as he has the doctors' ok.
